Sichangi Partners was founded as Sichangi and Company Advocates and was established in 1998 at Nyeri, popularly known as ‘the slopes.’ Overtime we have grown in membership and scale, and eventually adopted the phrase “Hill Team” in reference to its varied but highly interdependent membership. Today we are organized on a spread out office concept, effectively set up in Eight Branches with Sub-firms within these branches.
Since the year 2008, the Firm adopted a management and operation system based on principles of politics, Economics and Society. This has meant that the entire Hill Team is encouraged to actively participate in decision making in various capacities while self-management is promoted. Indeed, the entire Hill Team is afforded a just reward for effort and innovative initiatives. We recognize that its always about people’s lives – the lives of our clients and that of our own membership. The mission and vision must not only work for the client but also the Hill Team’s Individual members who must grow both professionally and as a community.
Our goal is to develop and grow as a High Performing Community Firm in which all members create Communities of Specialized practice by participating in the Governance (politics) of the firm, sharing in the (Economics – in a differentiated form) and living and growing as a Society. We recognized that to offer innovative and highly satisfactory services to a more knowledgeable and highly sophisticated client (often seeking specialized services), people succeed not as individuals but rather as a community in Partnership, where all stakeholders actively drive a goal and obtain a just reward for their effort, while giving value for the client’s money. To achieve the High Performing Community Firm, we have established an internal and regular Continuous Education (CLEs) for our membership and encourage the voices of our stakeholders and partners who in essence are our clients.
The Firm’s management formulates and sets expectations for our members and evaluates performance rigorously, candidly, honestly, and accurately. We develop career growth models to stretch members and expect extraordinary contributions and growth from each for the benefit of the customers and the Team. We believe in removing all bureaucratic obstacles that get in the way of quality service and affect our ability to attract or retain talent. this enables us to meet and even exceed clients expectations. We are a member-equity firm and we equally proud of this accomplishment.
